Nola's Recipes . . .

   
 

 

Pikelets

1 egg                                2 Tbsp sugar

¾ cup of flour                   pinch of salt

1 tsp cream of tartar        ½ tsp baking soda

½ cup of milk                   1 Tbsp melted butter

 

Whisk egg and sugar .  Add all other ingredients and mix together until smooth.  Then cook on hot plate in using a tablespoon of the mixture for each pikelet. When mixture forms bubbles on top,  turn over to cook the other side.  Nola uses a sandwich maker with a flat base.

 

Makes approximately 15 pikelets.
