Mince

1 kg steak mince (the best fat free)
1 large onion
2 Cubes beef oxo
Salt

Cooking oil
Mixed veggies
Bisto powder

Brown steak mince with onion and  with one (1) Tbsp oil. Just cover with water (do not flood). Add two (2) beef oxo cubes and salt to taste.

Cook for half an hour.

Add mixed vegetables. (Best if kept whole, you can put them through the blender for fussy kids).

Thicken with bisto or flour and water with gravy colouring added

Cook another half an hour or so.
